“The pain should begin to fade now that there’s nothing in there to irritate it.” At least, that’s what he’s guessing based on his own experience— he isn’t sure if it’s the same for a cat.
Leaning forward, watching SARU work with an attentive gaze, resting his chin in his palm. Fei’s silent, intrigued by his companion’s compassion for the animal. In fact, he’s silent throughout the cleaning process, up until SARU requests the gauze, which Fei holds out to him after remembering where he’d placed it (beside him, of course; he’d first looked back into the kit for it). The younger boy seemed to be content with just sitting on the edge of the bathtub, watching SARU spill his affections over this tiny furry thing. With everything that’s going on in Toshi as of current, it’s nice to sit in a comforting near silence with a friend. SARU looks more at ease now than he had earlier, Fei thinks.
“So,” he starts, “have you thought of any names?” He knows he was the one who told SARU to sort all of this out before thinking of this kind of thing, but he can’t help it. The white haired boy seems so attached to the thing already, Fei thinks it might be a good idea to talk about their new roommate a little more.
; Oh, right, names. It was he who had suggested naming the cat, after all - of course he should give it a name. The tortoiseshell queen mewled in his lap, rolling over onto her back (he had wrapped her paw up, and she seemed to be a lot more content, although they still had to feed her).
“Um - something natural, maybe?”
Obviously he hadn’t put any forethought into this whole “let’s-name-it” thing.
